What makes Sidi Ifni and Tafraout worth visiting? Sidi Ifni is one of Morocco’s few remaining pockets of Spanish colonial Art Deco architecture, with a distinctive, faded coastal charm. Tafraout sits among pink granite boulders and almond groves in the Anti-Atlas, with a landscape and light unlike anywhere else in the country, including the well-known painted rocks just outside town.
How much driving is involved? This is a coastal and mountain adventure route with moderate daily driving distances, generally 3–5 hours between stops, with stops along the way for photos, villages, and viewpoints. Roads through the Anti-Atlas (Days 5–6) are winding mountain roads.
