Upon your arrival at Casablanca Mohammed V International Airport, our driver will warmly welcome you. You will visit the magnificent Hassan II Mosque (the largest mosque in Africa, partly built over the Atlantic Ocean). Then drive directly to Marrakech (approx. 2.5 hours). Arrive by early afternoon, check into your riad or hotel. The rest of the day is free to relax or take a first stroll through Jemaa el-Fnaa square. Overnight in Marrakech with breakfast included.
Today you have two options:
Option A – Guided City Tour: After breakfast, enjoy a half-day guided tour of Marrakech. Visit the Koutoubia Mosque (exterior), Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, and Majorelle Garden. End at Jemaa el-Fnaa square with its snake charmers and food stalls.
After breakfast, depart Marrakech and cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n Tichka pass (2,260m) with breathtaking views. Visit the iconic Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site famous for films like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Continue through the Rose Valley (known for rose water and cosmetics) and the Valley of the Roses to Dades Valley. Arrive at the stunning Dades Gorges with its “monkey fingers” rock formations. Overnight in a hotel or kasbah in Dades Valley with breakfast and dinner included.
After breakfast, drive to the spectacular Todra Gorges – towering limestone canyons perfect for a hike along the river. After exploring, continue toward Merzouga via Tinghir and Erfoud (fossil town). Arrive at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes. In the late afternoon, prepare for your first camel trek into the desert. Ride for approximately 1.5 hours to a desert camp, watching the sunset over the dunes. Enjoy a traditional Berber dinner, drumming music around the campfire, and stargazing. Overnight in a nomadic desert tent (private tent with blankets, mattresses – breakfast and dinner included).
Wake up early to witness the magical sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast at the camp, return by camel or 4x4 to the edge of the dunes. Today is a full day Sahara excursion by 4x4 vehicle. You will:
After breakfast, leave Merzouga toward Arfoud (fossil workshops) and drive through the stunning Ziz Valley with thousands of palm trees. Continue via Midelt (lunch stop) and cross the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in Ifrane, known as “Switzerland of Morocco,” with its alpine-style architecture. Arrive in Fes in the late afternoon. Check into your riad in the heart of the medina. Overnight in Fes with breakfast included.
After breakfast at your riad, immerse yourself in the rich history of Morocco’s oldest city. Your local guide will take you to:
After breakfast, depart Fes toward the Rif Mountains and the enchanting Chefchaouen (The Blue City) – approximately 4 hours drive. Arrive by early afternoon. Check into your riad, then spend the afternoon exploring the blue-washed streets of the medina. Visit Plaza Uta el-Hammam, the Kasbah Museum, and the Grand Mosque (exterior). The city’s unique Spanish-Moroccan architecture is perfect for photography and wandering. Overnight in Chefchaouen with breakfast included.
After breakfast, depart Chefchaouen toward the capital Rabat. In Rabat, you will explore the Hassan Tower (unfinished minaret), the Mausoleum of Mohammed V (white marble masterpiece), and the Oudaya Kasbah overlooking the Bou Regreg river. After lunch, continue to Casablanca. Arrive in the evening, check into your hotel. Overnight in Casablanca with breakfast included.
After your final Moroccan breakfast, depending on your flight time, you may have free time for last-minute shopping or a visit to the Morocco Mall (one of Africa’s largest shopping centers).
