Your route crosses Morocco’s Middle Atlas Mountains and High Atlas Mountains before descending into the Moroccan desert where you follow the Ziz River to the beautiful Ziz Gorge, a desert oasis with vast date palm groves, through the desert town of Erfoud to Merzouga, a small desert Berber village situated on the edge of Morocco’s spectacular Sahara Desert sand dunes known as Erg Chebbi.
